Ronco Specialized Systems is seeking a highl-skilled and dedicated Audio/Video Systems Engineer to work with customer accounts in our Great Lakes New York regional territory, maintainted out of our Tonawanda and Rochester, NY offices. The A/V Engineering position delivers system research, design, distribution, installation and other professional services to customers across our Healthcare, Education, and Commercial A/V markets. The A/V Engineer position also works closely with the Sales and Operations departments to provide account management support.

Accountabilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide pre-sales engineering support to Account Managers.
  • Conduct pre/post sales site surveys to collect accurate information for purposes of quoting and system design.
  • Initiate engineering review process for new sales orders in a timely manner.
  • Review project plans and specifications.
  • Create functional system one-line and riser diagrams utilizing AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Review sales orders for accurate bill of materials and communicate any changes to the Account Manager.
  • Work closely with field operations personnel to ensure that installations are consistent with current system design and best practices.
  • Generate as-built drawings to complete project closeout documentation.
  • Provide occasional high level support to field operations personnel as it relates to networks, software, servers and applications.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of in-house test & training environments.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in the design of healthcare, educational and/or A/V systems.
  • Proven ability working in AutoCAD, BricsCAD or Stardraw.
  • Proven working knowledge of  Networks (LAN, Switches, Windows server OS).
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude working with healthcare, AV and Pro-Sound systems and components.
  • Ability to solve problems and perform analysis and trouble -shooting on systems.
  • Strong Written/Verbal Communication Proficiency.
